A Real Breakfast Treat

Recently I discovered that my friend and neighbor Mitzi began a blog at the beginning of the year, in which she spotlights some of her favorite products and tips. Since discovering her blog, I have read about peanut butter and jelly Uncrustables, freezing milk if you have too much, and the best paper towels to buy.

Mitzi and I also share a birthday, so I happen to think she is awesome. But as someone says, that's neither here nor there.

It's funny how little things can stick in your brain and affect you. I have now started noticing and mentally itemizing my own favorite things. The Garden Claw and the French Press are two of my current faves.

Today I have another one. Egg Muffins rock my world. Not the kind from the place with the big yellow-and-red clown guy, but the kind I make myself. Another neighbor, Yvette, got me going on this in the fall, and I realized it is one of those things that makes my world more beautiful. Frying an egg is so much easier than I ever knew, and it is delicious on a toasted English muffin with a slice of American cheese.

I don't even have to fry the egg sometimes, after I have made breakfast for dinner. On those days, I use leftover scrambled eggs (finally! they are good for something!) and if I'm lucky, there's even a slice or two of bacon to put on top! Mmm.

Today was a good breakfast day.
